Story

1987

Making Community Concepts, Inc.

On January 15th, 1987, leadership of Androscoggin Valley Community Action and Oxford County Community Services agreed to consolidate the two entities into a single community action agency to serve both counties. The consolidation became effective on February 1st of that year, and Community Concepts has been serving the people of Oxford and Androscoggin counties since then.

2001

CCFC Established

CCFC was established as a subsidiary to Community Concepts, Inc. This allowed the organization to secure capital and start financing home purchases and small businesses across Maine.

2015-2018

4-Time SBA Microlender of the Year

CCFC was recognized four years in a row as one of the Small Business Administration's Microlenders of the Year. This recognition by the SBA emphasizes our focus on providing access to capital for those traditionally left behind by Main Street banks.
